The students enjoyed their first session of glass creation. I know I enjoyed working with them and sharing my knowledge and art!
Tomorrow I will slump the results of today’s firing. Pictures will be forthcoming.

So, as I was thinking about creations I am going to make this year, I decided I needed to know what glasses reacted with what materials or other glasses. Bullseye has a great page with all that information on their site. But I wanted a quick chart I could print and look at while I am working. Here it is. I will also post it on my Glass Links page.

My first show reception was a success! I had a lot of people compliment my work and some possible future sales. I met some cool artists from St. Augustine and several people associated with Hendricks Ave. Baptist Church that are pretty awesome.
Woot!
If you missed the reception, you can still go to the church office and they will let you in to see the show.
The epoch project is a radically open innovation, imagination and technology competition that allows anyone to enter, to visit, to sponsor, to volunteer or to be a critic. It is an 11-day international celebration of creativity that will unleash the imagination and ideas of creative people and organizations from Jacksonville and all over the globe.
Imagine…
• Downtown Jacksonville filled with spectacular creations.
• An annual free event that fills our downtown with people.
• A monumental creative competition that transforms our city and draws innovators and creators both locally and from around the world.
Imagine…
• An event that engages people with new ideas, imagination and innovation.
• A half million dollars in prizes with the winner determined by pubic vote.
• 11 days dedicated to celebrating creativity in all of its forms.
Imagine…the epoch project!
The annual competition will be open to individuals, a group of collaborating creators or corporations that present an idea, invention, creation or any manifestation of human imagination including but not limited to art, engineering, architecture, electronics, robotics, conservation, communication or science. Any registered creator can participate if they can secure a registered venue.
Any space, including a bank, bar, business lobby, tattoo parlor, restaurant, public building, warehouse or even empty parking lot can serve as a venue, as long as it is in Downtown. It is up to each venue to select the entrant/s that it will host.
The public, not a team of professional curators, will determine the distribution of the prize money. Voters must be physically present in Downtown Jacksonville, and will vote via smartphone or laptop.
