So, I wanted to show you just what I can now do with my new kiln:
I can have a good amount of small items and I can do pieces up to 15″ x 24″
So many cools things to come!
Well, things are a changin’ again. I’ll be working part-time (8-1ish) so I won’t be into the gallery until the afternoon. But, this will give me the means to do so much more. Look for good things to happen in the next couple of months!
Also, Artist Jason Seymour (JC) is joining the studio! He works with woodburning, creating funky cigar box purses or on beautiful natural wood. I’m excited he’s joined our little group.
I was watching Michael Palin’s Himalaya on Netflix the other day, the episode where he’s up on the Tibetan plateau, aka the Roof of the World, and he’s talking about the next episode’s journey down the Yangtze River. He’s standing at the headwaters of the Yangtze and I see this gorgeous mix of waters and I knew it was something I had to do in glass. I hope you enjoy the images as much as I.
and a little video, sans audio, of the actual TV show.
